Special-interest walking tour of Milton steps off May 19

Judge Jack Hudson to share 20th century history

The public is invited to join Judge Jack Hudson on a special walking tour at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, May 19, as he discusses his experiences of growing up in Milton. Another tour will take place Sept. 29; tours are weather permitting. Each tour is unique and personally tailored to the group's interests. Have questions about Milton in the 20th century? Tours begin at the Milton Historical Society, 210 Union St. in downtown Milton. Free parking is available next to the museum along Magnolia Street. Attendees should wear sturdy shoes, and bring a hat, sunscreen and water. Program is free to Milton Historical Society members, $5 (cash or check) for nonmembers.

Space is limited. Reservations are required; call 302-684-1010 or email info@historicmilton.org to save a spot.

After the tour, visit the Milton Historical Society with its interesting collection of artifacts that help tell the history of Milton and the Broadkill Hundred. Admission is free. The museum is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday to Saturday year-round with special evening hours until 7 p.m. on Wednesdays in June, July and August.
