Sposato Landscape helps with Pinetown renovation

September 24, 2016

Sposato Landscape donated landscapers and materials to help spruce up the property around the Pinetown Civic Association as part of an initiative to improve the 27-home community off Sweetbriar Road near Lewes.

The Pinetown Community was selected by the Sussex Housing Group as a pilot project to make it a safer community to live in. Pinetown, a 100-year-old neighborhood, received new streetlights, the rehabilitation of about eight homes and plans to create educational programs for its young people.

Sposato landscapers weeded, edged and mulched flower beds, and trimmed trees and bushes. Sposato Account Manager Will Reid, who organized the volunteer activity, said sometimes all a community needs is a little help getting a renovation project going. “We hope our work here will set the example that others will see and follow,” said Reid. “This community is very underserved. We’re doing the renovation, but we’re also training the staff here how to maintain it.”
