Spring break camps set at Rehoboth Art League April 17-21

March 16, 2017

Spring break is coming up in April, and the Rehoboth Art League has two new options for keeping children entertained and active over this school holiday.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday, April 17 to 21, the art league is offering Nature Adventures in Art camp for children ages 5 to 10. During this week campers will try out their adventurous sides by exploring the garden and natural landscape of the art league. They will also discover nature adventures across the globe as they take trips to the arctic through landscape painting, dive deep underwater through printmaking, and take a jungle safari in mixed-media artmaking. Cost for the week is $225 per child. Extended care is available.

Parents also have the option of sending their children ages 8 to 14 to a three-day pottery camp from 9:30 a.m. to noon, Monday and Tuesday, April 17 and 18, and Thursday, April 20. Children will learn basic hand-building skills and techniques plus how to work on the wheel. They will have fun creating and embellishing their ceramic pieces. Cost is $100 per child for RAL members, and $135 for nonmembers.

Registration is required for all classes. To register, go to www.rehobothartleague.org or call 302-227-8408, Ext. 112. Classes will be held at the Rehoboth Art League, 12 Dodds Lane in Henlopen Acres near Rehoboth Beach.
