St. Peter’s Summer Spirituality Series continues June 15

June 11, 2017

Hosted by the Parish Green Team, the St. Peter's Episcopal Church Summer Spirituality Series continues Thursday, June 15, from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Parish Hall at 211 Mulberry St., Lewes.

The Green Team, whose mission is to foster the goal of promoting the best possible stewardship of God's creation - "this fragile Earth, our island home," will present a video presentation that was the finale of this spring's Water Justice worldwide webcast from the Trinity Institute in New York City. Presenter Katharine Hayhoe poses the question "What can I do?" about the great environmental issues of modern time.

As a climate scientist, she tells her personal journey of living in Canada, South America, and the U.S. to describe her experiences in learning how to communicate about difficult issues with people of diverse cultures and outlooks. After describing a myriad of problems through the lens of climate change, she offers hope for the future, using graphs, charts, and scripture.

The film will last about 40 minutes to be followed by 15 minutes of discussion with members of the Green Team.

A King's Ice Cream social hour will follow the presentation. All are welcome.
