June 19, 2016

The Knights of Columbus Star of the Sea Council 7297 in Rehoboth has received the Delaware State Knights of Columbus Community Award. The award was presented at the Delaware State Convention of the Knights of Columbus May 20 in recognition of Star of the Sea Council’s involvement in community activities. During 2015, the council dedicated numerous volunteer hours to supporting the Lewes Presbyterian Church annual Thanksgiving Dinner where they organized 65 volunteers to serve meals.

In addition, the council provided hot dogs, ice cream, water and chips to over 250 youth and their families at the Sussex Consortium Blockhouse Pond Run. The Knights Color Corps from the Father Vincent Capodanno Assembly 2413 also led the participants in the parade marking the start of the event.
