Statera Homes focuses on people who will live in them

Dailey and Kellenberger team up in Sussex County
June 24, 2016

In 2002, Amy Kellenberger sold Scott Dailey his new home in Lewes. In 2013, Amy purchased a home from Scott’s company, Capstone Homes. Later that year, Kellenberger became the sales manager for Capstone Homes. In 2015, Dailey left Capstone and founded Statera Homes.

In 2016, Dailey and Kellenberger are at it again, as she has joined Statera has the vice president of sales and marketing.

“In starting Statera, I wanted to get away from straight new home production. It wasn’t the best fit for me. I wanted to be more creative and focus on developing a locally focused, sustainable company,” says Dailey, who was one of the founders of Capstone Homes in 2006. “I wanted to create a company that benefitted the local community, and I wanted to think about building new homes from the perspective of the folks who live in them rather than system by which they are built,” he says.

The result of this vision is Statera Homes. Statera is the Latin word for “balance.” and Dailey says the word was a perfect fit for the type of home he was looking to build. “I wanted to create a home that was the setting for someone’s story - the story of their life. This isn’t just about “units,” but people’s lives. I wanted a house where the artisans who build them are building for neighbors. I wanted a house with next generation features and technology,” says Dailey.

Having Kellenberger join the team was a natural fit. “I loved the concept, and I have worked with Scott for years. We are both veterans in the industry, and Statera is an idea whose time has come,” says Kellenberger, a Milton resident.

Statera has just completed its first home in the Ridings at Rehoboth, located near Lewes. “We have also just launched the Deep Branch Woods community near Milton,” says Dailey, “and we have some other projects in the works.” The Ridings home is currently available for sale.

Statera’s unique features and local, sustainable homes will be available in communities throughout Sussex County. Statera will also build on any lot in the area.
