Steven Wayne Cranford, bus operator

Steven Wayne Cranford, 64, of Milton, previously of Silver Spring, Md., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes. He was born May 21, 1953, in Riverdale, Md., son of the late Benjamin Wesley Jr. and Esther H. Cranford.

On May 4, 1994, Steve married his best friend for life, Antonietta (Toni) Mastrangelo. Steve loved his career working for Montgomery County Public Schools as a bus operator; he always said he was entrusted with the most precious cargo.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Cranford was preceded in death by his brothers, Benjamin Wesley Cranford III and Dennis Cranford. He is survived by his wife Toni; son Matthew; brother Richard; his nephews and niece, Nicola, Massimo and Daniela Mastrangelo; many other nieces and nephews; and his in-laws Antonio and Maria Mastrangelo; brother-in-law Mario (Amber) Mastrangelo; his uncles, aunts and cousins, and many friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Feb. 10, at 1 p.m., in the Chapel of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes.
