Stuff the truck for hurricane relief at Schell Brothers Sept. 23-24

Local builders join forces for disaster assistance efforts
September 20, 2017

Schell Brothers has partnered with the Home Builders Association of Delaware and Two Men and a Truck to collect supplies for the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Houston with a Stuff the Truck event. Schell Brothers is inviting the community to help stuff the truck in the parking lot of the company’s main offices from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 23 and 24.

"When we heard that the Home Builders Association of Delaware and Two Men and a Truck were collecting supplies, we just knew we had to get involved in as big of a way as possible," said Mark Moore, senior construction manager for Schell Brothers. "The devastation in Houston and what those families are facing right now is unimaginable. Every little bit helps."

Schell Brothers will have a box truck stationed in the parking lot of the main offices on Route 1 in Rehoboth (20811 Phillips St., Rehoboth Beach) Saturday and Sunday. Those interested in donating can stop by during those times to drop off supplies. Supplies needed include: all toiletries and grooming supplies; baby diapers and wipes; toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, Clorox wipes; hand sanitizer and body cleansing wipes; first aid kits; flashlights and batteries; duct tape, Scotch tape and zip ties; collars, leashes and muzzles; dog and cat treats; ready-to-eat nonperishable food items; bedding (pillows, blankets, sheets); and heavy-duty trash bags.
