Suburban Farmhouse expands in Milton

May 24, 2018

After only six months in business, The Suburban Farmhouse, 108 Federal St. in Milton, has added more seating for cafe dining and a more extensive menu. Boasting 28 seats including communal tables, Suburban Farmhouse offers a full cafe menu. Owner Kristen Latham said the new kitchen opened in April, under the knowledgeable hands of partner Jodi Sickles. Baked goods offered in the coffeehouse are made by Sickles on site. Breakfast and lunch items include panini, expanded breakfast offerings, crustless quiche, and Acai bowls, to name a few. The Cruffin is still a popular selection and added new variations on the original. New Farmhouse Spritzers are now being offered in addition to coffee and tea. Sickles is happy to satisfy special dietary requests.

Latham continues to offer eclectic home decor and gifts. She finds unusual products with urban funkiness to offer in the shop. Once sold they will not be reordered, she wants to keep the flow of original items in her store. She also has seen the Suburban Farmhouse become a community center where people come together to find nourishment in more ways than just food and drink.

The hours have been expanded to include evenings; Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. And, as usual, when an event is happening in town, the Suburban Farmhouse opens to welcome guests. The cafe is still connected offering free WiFi and docking stations.
