Survive & Thrive 5K Walk/Run & Survivors Mile set May 19

The public is invited to celebrate cancer survivors and support community members at the Survive & Thrive 5K & Survivors Mile, Saturday, May 19, at Stango Park in Lewes. The Cancer Support Community Delaware will host the 4th Annual Survive & Thrive 5K to kick off National Cancer Survivors Day June 3.

Participants can join as part of a team or as individuals to support those who have overcome cancer or are dealing with cancer. The Survivors Celebration will feature a festival atmosphere including a live radio broadcast by Radio Rehoboth, a K9 demonstration, vendors, food and a raffle. CSCDE will award a Business Promotional Package valued at $1,950 to the organization which raises the most money for Survive & Thrive 5K. All proceeds benefit Cancer Support Community Delaware, which offers support services to anyone impacted by any kind of cancer, their caregivers, and family members, at no cost to the participant. The mission of the Cancer Support Community Delaware is to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community.
