Sussex Central theatre students to celebrate black history March 7

Admission is free; donations gratefully accepted

Focusing on the rich cultural heritage of the Harlem Renaissance, the Take Two Drama Club of Sussex Central High School will present "A Celebration of Black History," at 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 7, at the Centre for Visual and Performing Arts at Sussex Central High School, 26026 Patriots Way, Georgetown.

Student readings will feature works of Zora Neale Hurston, James Weldon Johnson and Langston Hughes, among others,. Music will include compositions by Duke Ellington and more.

Admission is free, but donations will be gratefully accepted in support of future Take Two/SCHS educational and dramatic events. The Take Two Drama Club is an independent nonprofit club and drama boosters organization (501c status pending) which supports production of plays and musicals for the students of Sussex Central High School and surrounding communities.

All ticket proceeds go directly back into production of future shows and supporting the students of Sussex Central in studying and creating theatre. To make a donation to the club, contact Take Two advisor David Warick at david.warick@irsd.k12.de.us.

Concessions and drinks will be available at separate cost.
