Suzanne T. Barbro, the original mermaid
Suzanne T. Barbro, 67, of Lewes, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes. She was born Tuesday, Oct. 4, 1949, in St Louis, Mo., daughter of the late Eugene C. Tittmann and Elizabeth Rowley.
Suzanne grew up in Darien, Conn., attended House in the Pines boarding school in Norton, Mass., and Centenary College in New Jersey. Her passion for art fueled her intense love for life. Suzanne was the original mermaid. She will be remembered as a nature lover, adventurer, party animal, hostess with the most-ess, sensitive soul, mind speaker, and so much more. She would give you the shirt off her back and loved harder than anyone we've known. We are blessed to have had such a wonderful woman in our lives.
Suzanne is survived by her husband, Donald E. Barbro of Lewes; her beloved son, Shane Taylor Nicholls of New York, N.Y.; her sisters: Elizabeth Tittmann Kramer of Westerville, Ohio, and Laura Tittmann Burnett of Nantucket, Mass.; and stepchildren: Patrick A. Barbro and his wife Mary Beth Barbro, and Kristen B. Hudson and her husband Peter R. Hudson; and her granddaughter, Harlow Mae Hudson.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 24, at 3 p.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, where friends may visit beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will be private
