Svaroopa yoga workshops set Sept. 22, 23

September 14, 2017

Turning Point Yoga & Meditation in Milton and Rehoboth Beach Yoga will co-host four yoga workshops Friday and Saturday Sept. 22 and 23, led by certified Svaroopa yoga and meditation teacher and teacher trainer Kamala (Michele) Gross, CSYT, RYT 500.

There are three programs set for Friday. Intro to Svaroopa Yoga is free and will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at The Olive Branch on Coastal Highway. Attendees will discover a user-friendly yoga that can heal what ails them and keep them young. How? By unraveling the deepest tensions in the body, no strain - no sweat.

Whether they are brand-new or experienced yogis, attendees can bring their questions and concerns, and learn how to work with their body in a whole new way. After questions, discussion and demo, participants will experience how easy it is to feel better in just a few minutes, and leave understanding their bodies better and with new options for how to improve.

The Walking Workshop will be held from 2 to 5 p.m., Friday, at Rehoboth Beach Yoga. The cost is $60. In this workshop, attendees will explore the dynamics of the body as they learn to walk and open their spines. Attendees will build an understanding of walking by exploring poses and anatomy that relate to every step.

Intro to Svaroopa Yoga Teacher Training is a free program will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, at Rehoboth Beach Yoga. For those wondering what is it like to be a yoga teacher or what kind of yoga they want to teach, this session will tell all about Svaroopa Yoga teacher training. Participants will explore the elements of training as a teacher. It's a profession that allows people to do what they love by empowering others to expand their horizons. Attendees will learn how to weave together precision and compassion, shine light through body and mind, and invite the inner opening of the heart in themselves and their students. This workshop will show the pathway to a new profession and a new lifestyle, and how to make a difference in the world.

Saturday, Sept. 23, a full-day yoga program will be offered from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at The Olive Branch in Milton. The cost is $161, or $141 if paid by Saturday, Sept. 16. Attendees will stop the rest of the world, just for a day, and give themselves a yoga day, an adult time-out. Participants will feel better than they can imagine, which they naturally will share with everyone around them. People appreciate being around someone who has found the inside yoga-bliss. And it changes everything for the one who is delving into the bliss of consciousness. This program will offer asana (poses), chanting and meditation.
