Sponsored by Autism Delaware
March 27, 2017

Catherine Murphy, MSN, RN, Community Health outreach coordinator, will be the speaker at Autism Delaware's Taking the Anxiety Out of a Visit to the ER from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, April 26. She is a member of the Population Health Department at Beebe Healthcare, and in addition to promoting and expanding community education at Beebe, she has worked with special children in a pediatrics practice previously for four years.

Attendees should bring a brown bag lunch. Dessert and liquid refreshment will be served.

Hospitals can be scary places for some people, but for those with Autism Spectrum Disorder it can be very traumatic. This educational talk will assist families in making a trip to the ER an assuring experience for the patient and the family member. After the presentation, there will be a time to ask questions and a chance to express any concerns involved with an emergency room visit.

The presentation is free. Autism Delaware is at 17517 Nassau Commons Blvd. Lewes. For more information, call Ann V. Athas at 302-644-3410, Ext. 200.
