Taylor Ward, loved to build things

Taylor Ward, 88, beloved husband, brother, uncle, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017. He was an Army veteran, a painter, and a wood worker who loved to build things, especially for his family and friends. He was also an avid hat collector.

He was preceded in death by his wife Rose; his parents Taylor and Martha; his son, Taylor; and multiple passed siblings. He is survived by two daughters: Mary Duman and Donna Cavanaugh. He is also survived by multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel Friday, Aug. 25, at 11 a.m., with the conferring of Military Honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
