The Sussex Tech girls’ soccer team’s season came to an end with a 5-1 loss to Padua in the first round of the DIAA State Tournament at the Delaware Turf Sports Complex in Frederica.
Kira Short scored the lone goal for the Ravens at the 22-minute mark.
Padua outshot the Ravens 13-1. Sussex Tech goalie Valencia Whealton stopped eight Padua shots.
The Ravens season ends with a 9-5-1 record.
The Pandas move into the semifinals, where they will play Caesar Rodney Wednesday, May 31.
