Terry G. Sakellos, U.S. Army veteran

Terry G. Sakellos, 69, of Milton passed away with Bob at his side Sunday, June 25, 2017, at Christiana Hospital in Newark. He was born Thursday, May 13, 1948, in Baltimore, Md., son of the late George T. Sakellos and Virgie Mae (Lawson) Sakellos.

Mr. Sakellos graduated from Northern High School, class of 1968 in Baltimore. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. Mr. Sakellos worked at NSA in Fort Meade, Md., as a GS 11 civilian employee. He then worked as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service in Falls Church, Va., for many years.

Mr. Sakellos loved gardening, sailing, photography, traveling, listening to music and reading. He was a loving husband, brother, uncle and friend to many and will be missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Sakellos is survived by his husband Robert H. Rice; his sisters, Angela Kidd and her husband John of Milsboro, Pamela Schiavino and her husband Jerry of Fenwick Island, Niki Kilcullen and her husband John of Whitehall, Md.; many loving nieces and nephews; his close friends Carolyn and Bill Calo, Chuck Larochelle, Ken Currier, Laura Dubansky, and many others.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 5, at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 18 Olive Ave., Rehoboth Beach, where friends and family may visit beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
