Three live family-fun shows to run through Aug. 25

July 29, 2016

A bogus wizard, an enchanted cat and a kooky king are thrilling family audiences this season at the Rehoboth Summer Children's Theatre. Three fun-filled plays take the stage each week through Thursday, Aug. 25. "The Wizard of Oz" is the much-loved story of Dorothy's search for a way home. "Puss in Boots" tells the fanciful tale of the fashionable feline who helps the poor miller's son win the hand of a princess. Hans Christian Andersen's fable of a vain ruler who is tricked by his own foolishness comes to life in "The Emperor's New Clothes."

The Rehoboth Summer Children's Theatre is a professional company that has been delighting family audiences with amazing two-actor shows since 1982. These one-hour performances feature fast-paced action, lightning-quick costume changes and a lively sense of humor. Performances are at 7 p.m. Tuesdays and 11 a.m. Wednesdays. The three plays rotate on the schedule each week.
