Tidewater Utilities tournament raises funds for Autism Delaware

Tidewater Utilities Inc. recently donated proceeds raised from its Ninth Annual Charitable Golf Tournament to Autism Delaware. The outing was held at the Heritage Shores Golf Course in Bridgeville Aug. 8. Tidewater presented a check for $22,298 to Autism Delaware Sept. 26.

"This was another record-breaking year for our tournament in terms of funds raised. We are delighted and honored that the proceeds will help support those children and families who need the services that Autism Delaware offers," said Jerry Esposito, president, Tidewater Utilities Inc. "In addition, we thank all those who supported the outing. Their commitment to this annual fundraiser demonstrates their desire to help others and build stronger communities."

"On behalf of the Autism Delaware staff and the hundreds of individuals and families affected by autism that what we support throughout the state of Delaware, we would like to say a huge thank you to Tidewater Utilities! It was a pleasure working together to raise money and awareness for autism. The proceeds raised from this tournament will have a significant and direct impact on families in our community," said David T. Woods, development director of Autism Delaware.
