Tree planting to recognize Home Expo 20th anniversary April 22
The Delaware Resorts Home Expo, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, April 22 and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, April 23. In honor of Earth Day, Ron Kowalski of Bartlett Tree Service will be donating and planting a willow oak tree at 1 p.m., Saturday, at the entrance of Cape Henlopen High School. The rain date is Sunday at 1 p.m. The public is invited to attend and enjoy a brief presentation on proper planting by Bartlett.
The annual home expo is sponsored by internet magazines RehobothToday.com and LewesToday.com, along with Cape Gazette, Comcast Spotlight, Andersen Windows and WMDT/ABC. Home expo visitors can view a full array of home retail and service values in one location. The event has also benefitted Sussex County Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit organization assisting qualified residents with simple, affordable housing, for most of its 20 years.
Public admission and parking are free, and many of the exhibitors will be giving away gifts and prizes. Food trucks will be on hand and will be donating a portion of food sales to Sussex County Habitat for Humanity.
