April 20, 2017

To honor and celebrate April as Jazz Appreciation Month, True Blue Jazz will present a night of entertainment Saturday, April 29, at Saketumi on Route 1 in Rehoboth Beach.

True Blue Jazz founders Eddie Sherman and Peggy Raley will be backed by a jazz band filled with Delaware's top musicians. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; dinner will be served at 6 p.m. The full Saketumi menu will be available. Admission is $25 and excludes food and beverages.

Conceived by The National Museum of American History, Jazz Appreciation Month is intended to stimulate and encourage people of all ages to participate in jazz by studying the music, attending concerts, listening to jazz on the radio and in recordings, reading about jazz and more. In November 2011, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization officially designated April 30 as International Jazz Day.

Tickets for the True Blue Jazz performance April 29 are available only at truebluejazz.org.
