True Blue Jazz to celebrate International Jazz Day April 29

In celebration of April as Jazz Appreciation Month, True Blue Jazz will present an unforgettable night of straight-ahead jazz Saturday, April 29, at Saketumi on Route 1 near Rehoboth Beach. The event will feature entertainment by True Blue Jazz Founder Peggy Raley, backed by a jazz band filled with Delaware’s top musicians. She will be joined by Cape Region jazz drummer Mike McShane, pianist Jeff Knoettner, bassist Doug Mapp, alto saxophonist Vince Lardear and vocalist Helene Nicoletti. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; dinner seating is 6 p.m. Show time is 7 to 10 p.m. The full Saketumi menu will be available.

Saketumi is located at 18814 Coastal Highway. Admission for the show is $25 person, and excludes food and beverage. All tickets are sold on best available seating. Tickets are on sale now and are available only at www.truebluejazz.org. The True Blue Jazz Festival will be held Oct. 11-15. See the website for more information.
