Update: Crash slows traffic on Route 1

An 86-year-old Lewes woman was cited with failure to yield the right of way June 29 following a crash on Route 1.
Nancy H. Catanach was driving a 2010 Subaru Outback northbound on Route 1 at about 3:20 p.m. preparing to cross over the southbound lanes onto Minos Conaway Road, said Master Cpl. Gary Fournier of the Delaware State Police. As she crossed the southbound lanes, Fournier said, she struck the right side of a 2000 Plymouth Voyager driven southbound by a 54-year-old Milton man.
Calanach and the Milton man were taken to Beebe Healthcare with nonlife-threatening injuries. Catanach was cited for failure to yield the right of way, Fournier said.
Traffic was slowed for about an hour in the area of Nassau Bridge.
