Variety of dance lessons starts Nov. 1

USA Dance Dover DE and Barbara's Dance Academy offer group ballroom, Latin and swing dance lessons for all ages on the first and third Wednesdays of each month. The lessons are held at the Camden Wyoming Moose Lodge, 760 Moose Lodge Road near Wyoming and will be taught by professional dance instructor Barbara McDonald from Barbara's Dance Academy in Dover. The Nov. 1 and Nov. 15 lessons will offer a Beginner Cha Cha class at 7:15 p.m. and an Advanced Beginner Merengue class at 8:15 p.m. The cost is $15 per person or $20 per couple per class for non-USA Dance members. For USA Dance members, the cost is $12 per person or $17 per couple per class. Pay at the door.

On subsequent Wednesday evenings, USA Dance Dover offers practice sessions in ballroom and rhythm for all levels from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the same location. The Nov. 8 session will feature Cha Cha and Merengue practice for all levels from 7 to 8 p.m. From 8 to 8:30, music for various dances will be provided. Practice sessions are an excellent opportunity for ballroom dance students to practice what they have learned. Experienced dancers will be on hand to offer assistance to beginner dancers. Practice sessions are also a great opportunity for experienced dancers to keep their dancing skills fresh. Admission to the practice sessions is $3 per person paid at the door.
