Vivian Rust Littleton, retired accountant

January 24, 2018

Mrs. Vivian Rust Littleton, 84, of Millsboro passed away Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at Beebe Healthcare, Lewes. She was born Jan. 28, 1933, in Millsboro to the late Thomas A. Rust and Ida E. Timmons Rust.

Vivian was a graduate of Millsboro High School class of 1951. She went to Delaware Tech in Georgetown, and retired from H. B. Mitchell & Co. where she worked as a tax accountant for 30 years.

Vivian had an unwavering faith in God. She was a lifetime member of Zoar United Methodist Church, Zoar U. M. Women, and she also volunteered after her retirement at East Millsboro Elementary School, Christian Store House and Meals on Wheels. She loved reading, sharing conversations with friends, always helping others who were in need, watching travel and cooking shows, and enjoyed the variety of seasonal birds feeding at her outdoor feeders.

She was a very loving mother, grandmother and friend to everyone. She thought the best of everyone, was dedicated, strong-willed and always put the needs of others before herself. She was loved by many, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by two children, Chris Littleton and his wife Celeste of Midlothian, Va., and Karen Hearn and her husband Jerry of Millsboro; along with three grandchildren, Stacie Street and her husband Mario, Michael Littleton and Brendan Littleton; and one great-granddaughter, Trista Street.

A funeral service will be held at noon, Saturday, Jan. 27, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon for viewing and visitation. Burial will follow at Millsboro Cemetery. Pastor Martha Callaway will officiate.
