Volunteers improve gardens at Cannonball House in Lewes

July 30, 2016

Volunteers from Lewes in Bloom partnered with The Lewes Historical Society's volunteer maintenance and grounds group, called the Rusty Nail Gang, to make improvements to the garden at the society's Cannonball House Maritime Museum. The public is invited to enjoy the garden on Bank Street anytime while in historic Lewes.

Lewes in Bloom's mission is to promote the beautification and maintenance of historic Lewes and the community at large. By doing so, historical preservation, urban forestry, environmental awareness and wide-ranging community involvement are enhanced for everyone's enjoyment, in addition to floral displays and landscaping.

The Lewes Historical Society thanks Lewes in Bloom and the Rusty Nail Gang for their support with this project, as well as the gardens at the Zwaanendael Club Museum Store and Ryves Holt House. For more information, go to www.HistoricLewes.org.
