Vote Cooper for continued excellence

July 21, 2017

Congratulations are in order for Mayor Sam Cooper. Under his leadership Rehoboth Beach is thriving.

A perfect example of its success is the Family Vacation Critic from Trip Advisor naming Rehoboth Beach one of the 10 Best Beaches for Families for 2017.

During this election cycle I have heard criticisms of the mayor and some individuals saying "it is time for a change." As this town's economy depends on tourism, it is crucial to see and hear what the tourists are saying.

There were over 1,400 reviews about Rehoboth on a recent Trip Advisor website (July 8, 2017). Of those reviews, 59 percent said their experience in Rehoboth was excellent, and another 31 percent said it was very good.

This means that 90 percent of the reviews of Rehoboth were excellent or very good – quite an accomplishment for our city.

A sampling of the typical comments speak for themselves:

"The beach is beautiful and clean, the Boardwalk is very family oriented."
"The boardwalk was amazing and never disappoints."
"Great place, especially with kids."
"One of my favorite places on earth."

Sam Cooper is the mayor who has brought us to this level of excellence. Over the years, he has been able to strike a balance between commercial interests and individual interests so that Rehoboth has an ambiance that is ideal for visitors, home owners and businesses. A vote for Sam Cooper for mayor is a vote for the continued excellence of Rehoboth Beach.
