Vote for the right team in Rehoboth Aug. 12

August 11, 2017

I have read the endorsement from the editorial board of the Cape Gazette, and I am not surprised. They always endorse Cooper, but really, Gay? The only reason she got the nod over obviously better qualified and experienced people is that she aligned herself with Cooper. This is also a slap in the face to Kathy McGuiness who has served the town for years and deserves to continue in her role as commissioner.

What has Susan Gay really done? She had time to attend meetings and join or get appointed to committees.

In reading the letters sent in last week, there has been so much "fake news." Paul Kuhns did not say he would be a part-time mayor.

Speaking of bringing the town into the 21st century, have we heard of Skype? Even if he should be out of town, he could attend the meetings through this mode of communication.

Also, Paul had to make it clear that he was not going to overturn everything that people seem to be satisfied with, because the opposition have been spreading rumors that this is what he is going to do if he is elected.

Too much is at stake in the next few years. We need Kuhns, McGuiness and Schlosser to guarantee representation of all the citizens' input and financial accountability. We cannot afford three more year$ of Sam Cooper.
