Walter L. Norwood, heavy equipment operator
Walter L. Norwood, also known as Peanut, departed this life Friday, June 9, 2017, at home in Millsboro.
His employment was as a live haul driver for Townsends Inc. which later became Mountaire, followed by his most recent position as a heavy equipment operator for Independent Transfer Operators.
Peanut was predeceased by his father, Linford E. Norwood, half brother Darryl N. Norwood; and half sister, Evelyn "Bell" Harmon.
Peanut is survived by his mother Elaine Norwood; an uncle George Walter Norwood; son David Norwood (Courtney); three brothers, Anthony Norwood (Lisa), Tran Norwood (Grace) and Joshua Norwood (Lauren); and one sister Natosha Carmine (Don); a host of nieces and nephews, many friends too numerous to mention, and a dear friend, Anna.
Family and friends may call Saturday, June 17, from 10 a.m. to noon, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, for viewing and visitation. The service will begin at noon. Interment will be at Israel United Methodist Church, 20230 Plantation Road, Lewes.
