Wayne T. Meyer, retired dockmaster

Mr. Wayne T. Meyer, 76, of Ocean Pines, Md., passed away peacefully with his family by his side Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016. 

Mr. Meyer was born Feb. 3, 1940, in Syracuse, N.Y., to the late Harold L. and Eleanor F. Thompson Meyer. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a sister, Marlene M. Hubbard.

Wayne was a retired high speed photographer at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. He later served in marina operations, and 15 years as a dockmaster at Ocean Pines Marina. He loved boating, fishing, crabbing, hunting, woodworking, and spending time with his family. Best thing of all was Christmastime. 

He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Edith O. Meyer of Ocean Pines; a son, Duane "Dewey" T. Meyer and his wife Ruth Ann of Berlin, Md.; a daughter, Debbie Meyer-Smith and her husband Donnie of Port Deposit, Md.; sister-in-law, Linda Andriolo and her husband Miguel; four grandchildren, Dara L. Buell, Dianna R. Dye and husband Dustin, David M. Smith and Dane T. Smith, one great-grandson, Bryson M. Buell; a special friend, Eddie Webb; canine friend Buddy and feline friend Snuggles; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to your favorite charity. Arrangements by Watson Funeral Home, Millsboro. Letters of condolence may be emailed via www.watsonfh.com
