West Side New Beginnings holds open house

West Side New Beginnings held and open house July 11 to let some of its supporters to listen to the children talk about their experiences at summer enrichment camp. Supporters from the VIA, Robin’s Cakes for Kids, First State Community Action Agency, West Rehoboth Land Trust and the West Rehoboth Children and Youth Advisory Board all listened and asked questions.

Program Director Diaz Bonville asked the camp participants what they like about coming there. Answers included making new friends, fun activities, different ages all interacting and people make them feel good here. Bonville also asked what they would do if they weren’t here. They replied: sleeping, watching TV or playing video games. They also talked about how they like going on field trips with the the new WSNB van. 

Afterwards the camp participants enjoyed lunch from local restaurants funded by the Lewes-Rehoboth Association of Churches.
