What’s wrong with gravel lawns?

August 11, 2017

In reference to the On the Rocks article on July 24, about two property owners being threatened for having hardscape lawns - my reaction - Silly!

Before my family moved to Delaware, we summered for years in Stone Harbor, N.J., where you would be hard put to find a grass lawn - also in neighboring towns. The idea was why spend vacations mowing? The area always looked beautiful and it was optional; you could choose grass over stone. Frankly, the yards looks quite neat and well-kept.

Lighten up, folks and let the sisters enjoy their home.
