What is Your Voice selected as beneficiary of MOMS Club consignment sale set Oct. 15, 16

September 30, 2016

For the 11th Annual Children's Consignment Sale event, the MOMS Club of Coastal Delaware has selected What Is Your Voice – Voices Against Domestic Violence as the charitable financial beneficiary. The sale will be held in the Cape Henlopen High School gymnasium from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 15, and and 8 to 11 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 16. Most items will be offered at half price on Sunday.

What is Your Voice, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, advocates for and empowers women who are victims of domestic violence in rural Sussex County. They join them in their journey to independence, and focus on safety, food and shelter, while striving to keep the family together. What Is Your Voice connects the women and children into their community network and support systems, individually and in group settings. They are sustained 100 percent by community funding. What Is Your Voice will use the funds from the MOMS Club of Coastal Delaware Children's Consignment Sale to continue to sustain the families currently in their network, and to continue to reach out to other families that are waiting for their help. The MOMS Club of Coastal Delaware is an organization dedicated to supporting mothers who have chosen to stay at home during their child's infancy and early childhood. Through meetings, service projects and activities, mothers have the opportunity to share parenting information and develop lasting friendships. All MOMS Club meetings and most activities are held during the day so mothers may bring their children. The local chapter which serves women from Lewes, Milton, Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach, Harbeson, Millsboro and Georgetown is one of more than 1,800 chapters of the MOMS Club across seven countries.
