White’s Chapel homecoming set Oct. 29

White's Chapel United Methodist Church will have its annual homecoming service at 2 p.m.., Sunday, Oct. 29. The keynote speaker will be Rick Betts, senior pastor at Crossroad Community Church in Georgetown. Special musical performances by Kay Dukes of Milton, Connie Argo of Greenwood and Norman Reynolds of Milford. White's Chapel Pastor Josh Gillen will welcome friends, members and former members to the annual celebration. A catered dinner will follow the service and will be served under the tent, since a complete renovation of the church basement is underway.

White's Chapel Methodist Church was founded 279 years ago in a schoolhouse located on a farm near the present church. Two previous church buildings were destroyed by fire before the current church building was built in 1921. White's Chapel UMC is at 15373 Coastal Highway, Milton.
