Whittam completes Eagle Scout Project

On Sept 11, Jack Whittam, a junior at Cape Henlopen High School and a senior patrol leader for Lewes Boy Scout Troop 2540, joined friends, family and fellow scouts in completing his Eagle Scout Project. As part of his Eagle Scout project, Whittam partnered with representatives from Holts Landing State Park, the Friends of Holts Landing, and a team of people in the construction and installation of 12 wildlife habitat boxes. Three different types of boxes, which were constructed by the team in late August, were designed to support local species in the park, specifically, the wood duck, the wood bat and bluebirds.
