William J. Logan, retired security guard

William J. Logan, 73, of Pottstown, Pa., husband of Charlene (Evans) Logan, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016.

Born in Patterson, N.J., he was the son of the late William Logan Sr and Charlotte (Caton) Logan. He was a graduate of Pottsgrove High Sschool and excelled in baseball. He was a retired security guard at Occidental Chemical for 32 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 28 in Oak Orchard/Riverdale. Bill helped coach Coventry Little League for 10 years and Red Knights football; he also enjoyed hunting, fishing on his boat with family and friends, hanging out with the grandchildren, and playing with his cat Buckwheat.

Surviving along with his wife is daughter Tammy Logan- Baker, wife of Keith Baker of Pottstown; a son, William S. Logan and fiancé Beth O'Connor of Downingtown; two grandchildren, Taylor and
Logan Baker; a brother, Robert Logan and wife Doris; along with niece Jenny and nephew Jason.

Celebration of life will be held Monday, Dec. 19, at Shenkel United Church of Christ, 1580 Shenkel Road, Pottstown. Greeting will be held 5 to 6 p.m., with a service at 6 pm. A buffet dinner reception will follow in the social hall.
