Wings of Hope butterfly release for those affected by cancer set Sept. 10

The Sixth Annual Wings of Hope ... A Butterfly Release to benefit the Cancer Support Community Delaware, will be held  from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Medical Arts Building grounds in Rehoboth Beach.

The event is highlighted by the release of 250 monarch butterflies in recognition of family, friends and neighbors throughout Sussex County whose lives have been impacted by cancer. This free, community-wide event for all ages also includes an amazing display of thousands of paper butterflies, live music from local musicians Sarah Ann Garrison and Doug James, activities for kids, and a variety of vendors and refreshment offerings.

Rain date is Sunday, Sept. 11. Seeded paper butterflies and a limited number of live butterflies will be available for purchase. For more information or to purchase butterflies, go to www.cancersupportdelaware.org or call Cancer Support Community at 302-645-9150.
