Worcester Prep students place in Eastern Shore Classic Dog Art Contest

Worcester Prep art students placed in every category from first through 12th grade in the 2017 Eastern Shore Classic Dog Show Art Contest, which connects student and canine through artistic expression. Based on their interpretation of Dogs, Man's Best Friend, winners were selected by a panel of judges which included local artists, art educators and AKC judges.

Students in Lower School art teacher Rebecca Tittermary's and Middle/Upper School art teacher George Zaiser's classes placed in every grade category and earned six first-place ribbons. Results included:

First grade, Dagny Hobbs, Berlin, Md., first place; Kristie Carr, Lewes, second place; Brax Giardina, Berlin, fourth place.

Second grade, Rani Yonker, Ocean City, Md., first place; Ariana Cornescu, Rehoboth Beach, third place; Harper Hertrich, Rehoboth Beach, fourth place.

Third grade, Stella Martin, Bishopville, Md., second place; Chloe Antonov, Harbeson, fourth place.

Fourth grade, Priya Haldar, Milton, second place; Caitlin Shimko, Salisbury, Md., third place.

Fifth grade, Angeline Todorov, Berlin, second place; Jayden Scopp, Berlin, third place; Frankie Miller, Millsboro, fourth place.

Sixth grade, Luke Hopkins, Lewes, second place; Izzy Huber, Berlin, third place; Isabella Sapna, Seaford, fourth place.

Seventh grade, Luke Loeser, Selbyville, first place; Meeta Agarwal, Salisbury, second place; Henna Parmar, Salisbury, third place.

Eighth grade, Abbey Miller, Salisbury, fourth place.

Ninth grade, Hannah Perdue, Salisbury, first place.

Tenth grade, Kelly Polk, Bethany Beach, first place; 
Kathryn Marini, Lewes, second place; Damiana Colley, Berlin, third place; Emily Copeland, Lewes, fourth place.

Eleventh grade, Hailee Arrington, Salisbury, first place and High Award of Merit; Grace Schwartz, Salisbury, third place and High Award of Merit; Maria Deckmann, Milton, fourth place.

Twelfth grade, Hope Sens, Ocean City, third place; Caroline Pasquariello, Ocean Pines, Md., fourth place.
