Young artists classes at Mispillion Art League start April 1

Mispillion Art League in Milford announced several young artist classes. Zentangle Easterpiece with Claudia Leister is set Saturday, April 1. Ages 5-8 will meet from 10 to 11 a.m. Ages 9-13 will meet from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Zentangle is an easy-to-learn, fun way to create beautiful pictures by drawing patterns. This method provides a path to create art by breaking down these patterns into basic strokes. Zentangles can open a door to art and creativity to people for all ages and abilities. Cost for members is $15, nonmembers, $20. Register by Monday, March 27.

MUM's the Word: Mixed up Media with Mike Fleishman is set for ages 8-13 from 5 to 6 p.m., Mondays, April 3, 10 and 24. It’s a mixed-media drawing class where all art will be done with a combination of different materials plus a blend of tools and surfaces. It may just start with a pencil or marker, but from there anything goes. Cost for members $35, nonmembers, $45. Register by Thursday, March 30.

Kids' Tuesdays: Wildlife Drawing and Painting with Kim Hanna is set Tuesdays April 4, 11, 18 and 25. Kindergarten through third grades meet from 4 to 5 p.m. Fourth through sixth grades meet from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. Kids will delight in nature by learning to draw and paint their favorite animals. Emphasis will be on realistic representation using different media such as pastels, watercolor and colored pencils. Cost for members $45, nonmembers, $55. Register by Saturday, April 1.
