Zen Saigon restaurant brings a taste of Asia to Bethany Beach

June 21, 2015

Zen Saigon celebrated its opening May 29 with a ribbon cutting, meet and greet, and appetizers. This new Asian fusion restaurant serves up delectable dishes that combine traditional Vietnamese cooking with fresh ingredients and local products for a dining experience not yet seen at the Delaware beaches.

“We’re serving authentic Vietnamese food and Thai food. All our food is made to order with fresh ingredients, no processed food,” said owner and chef Kenny Nyugen. Nyugen seeks to bring lighter fare with an Asian flair to Bethany Beach and the surrounding areas. Vietnamese soup is the restaurant’s specialty, simmered daily.

“We use no paste, powder or anything like that. It’s all fresh from scratch,” said Nyugen. In addition to the authentic food, the restaurant also serves eight imported beers intended to pair specifically with its Asian fusion menu. Even the cocktails are made with the restaurant’s special flair, including many drinks made with featured Bombay Sapphire East Gin infused with lemon grass and ginger.

Zen Saigon is at 776 Garfield Parkway. Operating hours are 4 to 10 p.m., Monday,  and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. For more information go to www.facebook.com/zensaigonDE or call 302-616-1957.
