Zwaanendael Women's Club presents scholarship to nursing student

The Zwaanendael Women's Club, a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs, recently hosted its monthly meeting at the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Healthcare. Club members took a tour of the building and presented a scholarship to nursing student Kelly Staples.

The Zwaanendael Scholarship is presented annually to a nursing student who has achieved academic excellence during their first year.

Staples is a graduate of Laurel High School and lives in Laurel. She plans to continue her education and obtain her bachelor of science degree in nursing through the University of Delaware.

The GFWC Zwaanendael Women's Club, founded in 1905, is a 501c3 nonprofit organization and a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs. It comprises public-spirited women serving and improving the community. For more information, go to www.GFWCZwaanendael.com.
