77 Berries, 77 Years

77 berries on a bed of sliced peaches made my amazing birthday cake an edible work of art. According to grandson Adam, chief berry designer, 7 blackberries were used to create each numeral while red raspberries in multiples of 7 highlighted the black. And don't overlook the blueberries garnishing all 4 corners of this glorious cake. Here's all you really need to know--no higher math and no dairy products were required to make and enjoy this fabulous Plant-Based Birthday Cake made by daughter Sue, decorated by Adam, approved by Jacob and devoured by all of us!

Thanks to Caldwell Esselstyn, M.D., and Ann Esselstyn for this trusted family recipe from their life-saving book PREVENT AND REVERSE HEART DISEASE.
