Elementary Division

Leah Metzner continued her scoring spree on Wednesday with a four-goal outburst resulting in a 4-2 victory for the Tides over the Guards. Shea Danahy and June Hale both scored for the Guards in the second half but were not able to catch the Tides.

The second game in the division was a 0-0 result between the Dunes and the Waves.

Games resume on Monday, June 19, with the Tides vs Dunes and Guards vs Waves. Both games begin at 5:30 pm on the Bermuda at Cape Henlopen HS.

Senior Division

The Bengals came from behind to take the win from the Artics by a final of 4-3. The Artics entered half time with a 3-2 lead with goals by Kelly Bragg, Kaila Hindt and Hailey Moore. Madi Irwin and Marcella Sabbagh kept the Bengals close with their first half goals. Late in the second half Erin Kay tallied a pair of goals to earn the win for the Bengals. The winning goal came at 0:58 remaining in the contest.

The second game of the evening saw the Corals go out to a 4-0 lead in the opening half with a pair of goals each from Anna Harrington and Rylie Cordrey. Cami Smith had the solo goal in the second half for the Seahawks. Final was Corals 4 and Seahawks 1.

The third game of the evening was an exciting back and forth game between the Baffins and the Pumas. Abby Kane was finally able to get behind the defense of the Pumas and took a superb pass from Juls Tyndall to get the winning goal at 10:15 of the second half. Tyndall got an insurance goal with 4:48 remaining to make the final Baffins 2 and Pumas 0.

Games resume on Monday, June 19 with the Baffins vs Corals at 6:00, followed by the Seahawks vs Artics at 6:45 and the nightcap is the Bengals vs Pumas at 7:30. All games are on the turf at Cape Henlopen HS.
