Elementary Division

The elementary division games were canceled due to weather issues but the teams are now set for the playoffs with the following seeds:

The Greens and the Blues earned a first round bye and will play the winners on Wednesday, July 20th at Cape Henlopen HS.

Senior Division

The Pumas defeated the Bengals by a final of 3-2. Puma scoring in the first half saw Maddie Wilber scoring a her first goal with an assist from Maggie Mitchell at 13:00. Lexi Gooch matched the goal for the Bengals with a score at 1:20 with Anna Stancosfki assisting. The second half saw Wilber complete her hat trick with goals at 12:55 and 10:10 (assist Madi Cook). Marcella Sabbagh scored with 1:40 remaining to finish the scoring for the Begels.

The Baffins defeated the Corals, 4-2. Darby Klopp and Haley Craig had opening half scores for the Corals but Carey Karl scored twice (second goal assisted by Erin Cannon) to keep the score even at halftime. The Baffins closed out the game with the game winner by Cannon at 11:20, with an assist by Maci Long before Karl completed the scoring with her goal at 6:22.

The Artics and Seahawks played a scoreless opening half but the Seahawks were able to finally over come the Artics in the second half for a final of 2-1. Rylie Cordrey got the Artics the lead with her goal at 13:50 but Julia Hollenbeck tied the game at 11:00 assisted by Amanda Sponaugle. Hollenback got the game winner with 9:02 left in the game.

 

With two games to go the battle continues for the two playoff spots in the championship game.
