Winter Indoor 2017 Week FIve and Playoff Time

Week Five of Indoor League 2017

 

Elementary Division

 

The Ravens defeated the Cardinals by a final of 3-1 with all scoring coming in the second half of the game. The Cardinals took a brief lead with a goal by Alexandra Ellis but then Emmi Swope tied the game with the first of her three goals at 10:10, The game winning goal came at 5:39 remaining.

In the second game, the Eagles got it together and defeated the Skins by a final of 1-0. The solo goal was by Lily Reynolds early in the second half. The Eagles then had to withstand the constant pressure applied by the Skins for the remainder of the game.

Pool play concludes next Monday afternoon with the Ravens vs the Eagles at 12:30 followed by the Cardinals and the Skins at 1:00. Playoffs begin on 2/26.

 

Senior Division

 

Team Sabbagh earned the #1 seed going into the playoffs with a 3-1 win over Team Sekscinski. Hannah Maney started off the scoring for Team Sabbagh with her goal at 21:00 of the first half. Lori Sapp also scored for Team Sabbagh at 16:50 to give the team a 2-0 lead going into halftime. Sapp scored to push the lead to 3-0 before Maddie Sekscinski scored at 8:30 for her team.

Team Ciabattoni earned a 4-0 win over Team Dorman with all the goals coming in the opening half. Emma Lehman, Reagan Ciabattoni, Liv Muir and Madeline Pepper were the goal scorers for Team Ciabattoni. The win earned the team the #3 spot in the playoffs.

Team Dawson earned the #2 seed with an 8-1 win over an undermanned Team Duffield (illness strikes again). Doing the scoring for Team Dawson: Lyndsey Smailer (4), Elsie Westbrook (3), and Emma Westbrook (2). Ally Best had the goal for Team Duffield.

The playoff schedule for next Monday has Dorman vs Sekscinski at 1:30 followed by Ciabattoni vs Duffield at 2:00. Then Sabbagh will play the winner of the 1:30 game followed by Dawson vs the winner of the 2:00 game.

Adult Division

 

A3 dominated A1 with a 9-1 win. Maci Long, Bridget Marshall, Kelly Smith, Emily Walls (4), and Jenna Werley had the goals for A3. Brittany Bailey had the solo goal for A1.

A4 and A2 battled to a 3-3 result but the scoring information was not available at press time.
