Week Four of Indoor League 2017

 

Elementary Division

 

The first game of the afternoon saw the Skins shutout the Ravens by a final of 6-0. Kemper Cox, Lorilyn Marsch (2), Leah Metzner, and Hannah Schaeffer (2) had the goals for the Skins. The second game of the division was a defensive battle between the Cardinals and the Eagles with neither team able ot break through for a goal.

Senior Division

 

Team Ciabattoni managed to get a goal past the keeper at the 10-minute mark of the second half to earn a 1-0 win over a determined Team Duffield. Madi Pepper had the winning goal with an assist by Reagan Ciabattoni. The second game of the division was a game of halves. Team Dorman took a 3-0 lead into half time on goals by Sommer Dorman (2) and Emma Moore but Team Sabbagh turned the tables with a four-goal outburst to take the game. Noelle Sabbagh (2) and Lori Sapp (2) did the scoring for the winners. The final game of the division was another defensive battle won by Team Dawson, 1-0 , over Team Sekscinski. Elise Westbrook had the first half goal for Team Dawson.

The final round of pool play on February 12th has Team Sabbagh vs Team Sekscinski at 1:30, Team Ciabattoni vs Team Dorman at 2:00 and Team Duffield vs Team Dawson at 2:00.

 

Adult Division

 

A4 defeated A3 by a final of 5-2 in a game decided by the action in the second half after all the athlete woke up from their Polar Bear Plunge! Lacy Bayley had given A4 the opening half lead while waiting for her teams mates to resurrect. The second half had goals by Madi Irwin (2) and Caroline Judge (2) for the winners while Emily Walls and Maci Long scored for A3.

In the nightcap the goals just rained down the entire game causing two pens to go dry! Sarah Mushrush opened the scoring for A2 with an early goal but was countered by a Lindsey Williams goal two minutes later for A1. Katie Shockley and Williams (Lisa) got the lead to 3-1 before A2 regrouped with a pair of goals from Lindsey Williams. The teams took a two minute halftime break tied at 3-3 before the onslaught continued with A2 breaking out early with another Lisa Williams goal followed by one by Rylee Pettyjohn then Williams (Lisa) at 3:00 but the older Williams sister, Lindsey, scored for A1 at 2:41 getting the score back to 6-4. Mushrush finally got the winning goal at 2:00 but A1 was not finished with another Lindsey Williams goal at 1:16 and a Dom Scott goal at :01. The final was A2 -7 and A1- 6.
