Winter Indoor 2017 Week Six and Playoff Results

Week Six of Indoor League 2017

 

Elementary Division

 

In the opening game of the division the Ravens and the Eagles played to a 0-0 result. While in the second game the Skins defeated the Cardinals by a final of 4-1. Hannah Schaeffer did the damage with a four-goal outburst in the first half of the game. Layla Conn finally got the Cardinals on the scoreboard with her goal at :06 remaining in the game.

The #1 seeded Skins plays the #4 seed, Eagles at 12:30 on Sunday, February 26 followed by the Ravens vs the Cardinals at 1:00. The championship game will then be played at 2:00.

Pool play concludes next Monday afternoon with the Ravens vs the Eagles at 12:30 followed by the Cardinals and the Skins at 1:00. Playoffs begin on 2/26.

 

Senior Division

 

The fourth seeded Team Dorman behind a huge first half by Emma Moore (4) defeated Team Sekscinski by a final of 7-0. Sommer Dorman (2) and Peyton Moore had the other goals for Team Dorman. In the other quarter-final match, Team Ciabattoni defeated Team Duffield by a final of 5-1. Rilyn Lehman had a pair of goals in the first half with Reagna Ciabattoni contributing a goal to make the first half score 3-1. Shelby Manlone had the goal for Team Duffield. In the second half Isabella Marinelli and Ciabattoni finished out the scoring.

In the semi-final match the #1 seeded Team Sabbagh defeated Team Dorman by a final of 6-2. A close first half had the score at 3-2. Lori Sapp (2) and Noelle Sabbagh earned goals for Team Sabbagh while Peyton Moore and Sommer Dorman had the goals for Team Dorman. The second half was all Team Sabbagh with Sapp adding two more goals and Sabbagh had one additional goal.

In the other semi-final match, Team Ciabattoni took the lead going into half-time on a hat trick by Reagan Ciabattoni. Lyndsey Smailer and Lily Ashby did the scoring for Team Dawson. The second half belonged to Team Dawson when Elise Westbrook (2), Smailer (2), Emma Westbrook and Lily Ashby found the back of the cage. The other Team Ciabattoni goal was by Reagan Ciabattoni.

The championship game between Team Sabbagh and Team Dawson will be at 4:30 on Sunday, February 26th. Note the time change from the originally scheduled time!

 

Adult Division

 

A3 defeated A2 by a final of 5-2. Maci Long, Kelly Smith (2) and Jenna Berkhart (2) did the scoring for A3 while Rylee Pettyjohn and Sarah Mushrush had the goals for A2.

A4 defeated A1, in the second game of the evening, by a final of 9-5. No scoring was reported.

 

A3 will face A1 at 1:30 followed by the championship game between the top two seeds, A4 and A2 at 2:30 on Sunday, February 26th. Note the time change!
