VIA and Rehoboth Beach Public Library host Family Forum on Domestic Violence Oct. 14

October 5, 2017

October is Domestic Violence month and the Village Improvement Association will be showing its support with a display at the Rehoboth Beach Public Library. The VIA Domestic Violence Committee, chaired by Irene Paonessa, has developed a concise and relevant card of emergency contact numbers, and these will be placed in restrooms of many of our local establishments, as well as available at the library display.

On Saturday, Oct. 14, from noon to 3 p.m., with support of the Rehoboth Beach Library, the VIA will host a Family Forum: Domestic Violence with several of the local programs and service personnel. The forum will be held in the upstairs room of the Rehoboth Beach Library. The speakers will be describing their programs/services and answering questions from the audience.

The following persons will be the presenters: Jacqueline Sterback, What Is Your Voice?; Kim Rigby, People's Place; Deb Reed, civilian head of The Victim Center of the State Police; Cpl. Adrian Owen, Delaware State Police; Cheri Will, Domestic Violence Nurse, Beebe Healthcare.
Each representative will speak for 10 minutes; questions and answer to follow. The forum is on a walk-in basis anytime during the scheduled time. Light refreshments will be served.
