Staton mailer tries to mislead women

November 2, 2012

Since becoming a Delaware resident, I have been a registered Independent voter. The yard signs on my front lawn reflect the best candidates of both parties.

After receiving a political mailer from Democrat Andy Staton two days ago, I thought I could not be more outraged. However, when I realized that my 90-year-old mother, also a registered Independent voter, had received the same Staton mailing, I was not only outraged but thoroughly disgusted.

Democrat Andy Staton's mailer totally distorts the man I know Ernie Lopez to be.

I am heartened by Ernie Lopez's relationships with his lovely wife, two beautiful young daughters, his mother, his mother-in-law, his sister, and his sister-in-law, the women in his neighborhood, the women he works with on a daily basis,  and the women in the 6th state Senate District.

I am eager to vote for Ernie Lopez for state senator in the newly created 6th District. I hope every woman who received the same "mailer of lies" is as sick and tired of Democrat Andy Staton's deceitful tactics as I am. On Nov. 6, I also hope that every woman in the 6th District votes for Ernie Lopez because everyone will win and no one will lose but Andy Staton.

As Ernie Lopez says, "We can do better."
