Bayhealth-Milford Memorial issue cancellations

Bayhealth-Kent General and Milford Memorial hospitals began advanced preparations for Tropical Storm Sandy last week.  Additional supplies such as water, linens, medications, food and fuel were delivered to the hospitals in order to provide for any patient needs during the storm.  The emergency department, operating rooms and labor and delivery, in addition to all inpatient services, are fully staffed and ready for any emergency before, during and after the storm.  
Bayhealth-Kent General and Milford Memorial have announced some cancellations for the safety of patients and staff. 
Surgery: Elective surgery, cardiac catheterizations and endoscopies previously scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 29-30, are cancelled.
Staff and community classes: All employee and community classes are cancelled for Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 29-30.  Participants should call the education department later in the week to reschedule at 302-744-7135.
